Curatorial support for exhibitions

For over a decade, I have worked closely with photographers, institutions, and festivals across Europe, developing exhibitions and curatorial projects that strengthen artistic vision and create meaningful dialogue with audiences.

I have curated and collaborated with photographers such as Kourtney Roy, Natan Dvir, Julie Glassberg, Imre Szabó, Vladimir Živojinović, Julieta Averbuj, among others, bringing together concept-driven approaches and carefully considered exhibition strategies.

Alongside my curatorial practice, I have reviewed portfolios and given talks at major festivals and institutions including Les Rencontres d’Arles (2018–2025), Sarajevo Photography Festival, the World Biennale of Student Photography (Novi Sad), Officine Fotografiche Roma, Plovdiv Photo Days, and several photography schools and programmes.

This dual perspective — both behind the scenes and on review panels — allows me to understand what makes a project resonate, travel, and stand out within the contemporary photography landscape.

Fees are discussed according to the scope and nature of each project.

You’ve got the work and maybe even a venue, but how do you turn images into a powerful exhibition? What to print? How big? Which sequence? How to use the space? Do you include text, video, sound, archive material? Where do the visitors start? Where do they feel something?
Bringing in an outside eye helps. I’m not emotionally tied to specific images the way you are, so I can help you make tough calls that serve the show and still respect your voice.

What’s included (tailored to the project & budget):

  • Review of the work + discussion of concept, audience, and tone.
  • On-site or remote walk-throughs using plans, or photos.
  • Selection & sequencing: what to show, what to hold back.
  • Print sizes, groupings, rhythm, breathing space.
  • Materials & production: paper, mounting, frames, vinyl text, captions,
    screens, objects.
  • Interpretive text: wall text, room sheet, labels, takeaway, digital notes.
  • Installation planning: layout sketches, hanging lines, flow.
  • Budget prioritising: where to spend, where to save.

Process:

  • Intro call (free, 15 min) — you outline the project + venue + timing.
  • Proposal with scope + estimated fee based on what you need.
  • Work sessions (remote/in person) to shape the show.
  • Optional: supervision during install or final check before opening.

I work in English, Spanish, and Catalan. Mix languages if you need, I’m used to it.

  • “His curatorial approach was both sensitive and rigorous, always grounded in deep respect for the work.”

I had the opportunity to work with David Pujadó in 2025 and it was, without doubt, one of the most valuable exhibition experiences of my career. Until then, I had never worked with a curator; I had always developed my exhibitions on my own. When David proposed exhibiting El juego de la madalena, the project that shares the title of my first book, at the Instituto Cervantes in Belgrade, he not only took on the full coordination of the exhibition, but also brought a deeply sensitive and intelligent curatorial reading to the work.
His intervention was both creative and rigorous, always grounded in a place of absolute respect for the artwork. From the very beginning, I felt that he had genuinely connected with my work — that he understood it and listened to it — which allowed me to trust him fully and make space for his perspective. The result was a solid, carefully considered, and coherent project.
Working with David has been an immensely rewarding professional and human experience, and undoubtedly an enriching process.

  • “It was clear that a lot of work and passion went into making it all come together.

Working with David Pujadó and the team at Belgrade Photo Month was an absolute pleasure.
David invited me to exhibit my project
Iceland Defense Force, and from the very beginning he was incredibly supportive, positive, and encouraging. His communication was clear and professional throughout the entire process, and everything was handled smoothly and with great attention to detail.
The festival itself was a fantastic experience, well organized, inspiring, and filled with strong exhibitions and great energy. It was clear that a lot of work and passion went into making it all come together, and David played a key role in ensuring everything ran seamlessly.
I’m very grateful for the invitation and I can highly recommend David as a curator and organizer.

  • “This became one of the most fulfilling exhibition experiences I’ve had.”

Working with David was a truly meaningful experience. From the very beginning, we had thoughtful conversations about the photo selection and the concept, long before the exhibition took shape. He was deeply committed to finding the right place in Belgrade — a space that resonated with the spirit of the work.

This became one of the most fulfilling exhibition experiences I’ve had. The show felt alive — like a natural extension of my project — presented in a local venue surrounded by generous, engaged people. His entire team was fully dedicated to creating the strongest and most sensitive presentation possible for the festival.

I truly enjoyed working with them.

  • The exhibition’s success was the result of David Pujado’s vision, dedication, and ability to secure the right space and support.

My solo exhibition at Belgrade Photo Month was the best installation I ever had of this specific series. The relentless efforts of David Pujado in finding the right space for the show, having the vision for the installation, and securing the required funding with the help of the Israeli Embassy all contribute to the exhibition’s success. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Belgrade to attend the festival and see all the remarkable work that was presented, and hope to do so again in the years to come.

  • David’s professionalism, distinct curatorial voice, and careful attention to installation and print quality were outstanding.

Working with David Pujado as curator of my show
I DRINK at BPM was an exceptional experience. His professionalism, distinct curatorial voice, and careful attention to installation and print quality were outstanding and very reassuring to an artist like myself who was not on site during the show’s installation. As festival director, his compelling creative vision and deep commitment to contemporary photography have established the festival as a vital and critically relevant platform within the Eastern European cultural landscape.
